En M\u00e9xico existen personas y comunidades descendientes de mujeres y hombres provenientes de distintas regiones de \u00c1frica<\/strong>, que forman parte de la Naci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n La mayor\u00eda de ellas arribaron como resultado de procesos de esclavizaci\u00f3n durante el periodo virreinal<\/strong> (1521-1821) y otras, migraron, por distintas causas, en el siglo XIX y en el transcurso de los siglos XX y XXI. Conocidas hist\u00f3rica y coloquialmente como \u201cnegras\u201d<\/strong> o \u201cmorenas\u201d<\/strong>, a partir de los procesos de conquista y colonizaci\u00f3n que convirtieron a las personas de distintas regiones del continente africano en \u201cnegras\u201d, y m\u00e1s recientemente como afrodescendientes<\/strong> en M\u00e9xico o afromexicanas<\/strong>, estas poblaciones han sido ignoradas, invisibilizadas y excluidas de la atenci\u00f3n del Estado, enfrentando situaciones de discriminaci\u00f3n y racismo.<\/p>\n Es importante aclarar que si bien existe una reflexi\u00f3n y un debate actual sobre el uso de uno de los t\u00e9rminos en M\u00e9xico, existen precedentes internacionales, nacionales y locales del empleo de los t\u00e9rminos afrodescendiente y afromexicano\/a<\/strong>, como los m\u00e1s pertinentes para denominar a estas poblaciones. <\/p>\n Por razones hist\u00f3ricas, la mayor\u00eda de los pueblos y comunidades de origen africano en M\u00e9xico se visibilizan hoy en d\u00eda, fenot\u00edpica y culturalmente, en las costas de los Estados de Guerrero y Oaxaca, Veracruz y Coahuila<\/strong>, al ser en estas regiones en donde las poblaciones afromexicanas hist\u00f3ricas han tenido mayores posibilidades de desarrollar sus culturas y procesos de identificaci\u00f3n.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Your content goes here.
